Overview

Our Level 2 Beauty Therapy General course combines theory, practical training and hands-on experience to help you develop the essential skills required to work confidently within the beauty industry.

Training is delivered in a supportive academy environment with guidance from an experienced tutor throughout your qualification.

During the course, you will learn how to safely and professionally perform a variety of beauty treatments, carry out client consultations, understand contraindications, maintain high standards of hygiene and develop the professional skills required to work within a salon, clinic or as a self-employed beauty therapist.

Our training also focuses on developing your confidence and practical ability so that you are prepared for working with real clients within the industry.

For each unit, learners will complete practical assessments, theory coursework and relevant knowledge assessments as required by the qualification.

You will gain practical and theoretical knowledge in:

1. Waxing using warm and hot wax
2. Facial skincare and facial massage
3. Make-up application
4. Manicure treatments
5. Pedicure treatments
6. Eyebrow shaping
7. Eyelash and eyebrow tinting
8. Health, safety and hygiene within the workplace

How will I be assessed?

Assessment takes place throughout the course and may include:

• Practical observations and assessments
• Oral questioning
• Theory and written assignments
• Multiple-choice knowledge assessments
• Client consultation and treatment evidence
• Portfolio completion

Your portfolio will contain evidence of your practical treatments, assessments, written work, tutor feedback and achievement throughout the qualification.

You will receive support from your tutor to ensure you understand what is required for each unit and assessment.

Attendance / Price

Course Fee: £2,300

Training is delivered over approximately 12 weeks, attending 2 academy training days per week, excluding any additional assessment or portfolio completion days that may be required.

A non-refundable deposit of £400 is required to secure your placement and begin the registration process.

The remaining balance must be paid before commencement of training unless an agreed payment plan has been arranged in advance.

All course fees include mandatory course materials, awarding body registration and examination/assessment fees.
